2024 Pantone Color of the year-integrating a peaceful hue into your life

The day has arrived. Pantone, the color connoisseurs who we let dictate what colors are trending for the year, are ready for 2024.

They revealed their color of the year: Peach Fuzz.

Pantone took to Instagram for the unveiling, which they’ve been teasing over the last month, to introduce their new color: PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz.

“A velvety gentle peach whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and heart,” they wrote.

This light, refreshing apricot color invites you to the blossoming promise of a new year, a fresh start.

Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute™, Leatrice Eiseman describes the color as a shade resonating with compassion.

She talks about the process in choosing this year’s color.

“In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.”

Who wouldn’t want a little warmth and modern elegance in their daily life?

Here’s our tips to integrate the peaceful hue into your life.

Selkie The Peach Fuzz in Bloom bridal gown | $575

Peach Fuzz is a happy medium between a light creamy orange and a pastel pink, a difficult color to find. Selkie have embraced the color, almost as if they were in the know of Pantone’s color selection, with their Peach Fuzz in Bloom bridal gown. The dress features sheer puffed sleeves and a ruffled split down the side. The romantic whimsical gown embraces the purity of the color.

If not the main act, Peach Fuzz can also be featured as a refreshing pop of color to your look. You can opt to pair a simple structured gown, like Cider’s tweed black and white ensemble, with a pair of pale pink pump, such as Ted Baker’s Hyana. The pairing embraces the timeless modern elegance Eiseman refers to.

Christian Dior’s embroidered Lady D-Lite bag also gives that satisfying pop of color.

Peach Fuzz can also be worn in a color blocking style with like colors complementing it.

Endless Rose and Thom Browne both pair the color with similar like colors. Endless rose uses light hues, peach, pink, vanilla, tied together into a single piece. Thom Browne styles his satin organza shirt with rougher textiile pant, a brighter hue, tying back into the bright car above the shirt’s pocket.

Peach Fuzz doesn’t just stop with wearables—Pantone has also teamed up with Ruggable and Spoonflower for Peach Fuzz inspired rugs, curtains, pillows and overall decor.
